Selena Gomez, an actress and singer, is a household name across the world. Her Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place is one of her biggest success shows. Selena Marie Gomez has a full name. The full title is Selena Marie. Amanda Cornett & Ricardo Gomez. Her mother was only sixteen when Selena arrived. When she was just 9 years old Selena was able to make her debut on the stage when she played Gianna on Barney and her Friends. She was one of the children who were the only human-like purple dinosaur ever created. Selena was a part of several episodes of episodes 7 and 8 in the period between 2001 between 2001 and 2003. Interesting fact: Demi Lovato, who was part of Barney's Friends in the same time period too, also worked with Selena. Following the end of the show, Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles on other shows and films but was not particularly successful. She had a smaller role on Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3D Game Over) in 2003 and another part in the film as Julie on Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire. The film also gave her the part as Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she composed a song.
